Hi everyone, I just found this thread, thanks to Amanda.

I've been wanting to start walking, but living here, where it snows 5 months of the year, it's nearly impossible to stay with it.

So, I got a treadmill. It's being delivered tuesday. I'm so excited!

Can't wait to get started. I'm watching snow come down right now and realizing I can get a jump start on spring.

Good going and good luck to each of you.

Binkeybuff welcome and congrats on the weight loss. Slow is better than fast anyway. But sorry to hear you lost your little dog. I have got to start walking again soon too. Take care all

I exercise at 7 am every week day with Denise Austin. When that is over I hit the treadmill for a half an hour. I wish I could get started earlier but people are still asleep around here!.

exercise

I have found that over the years exercise has become an "addiction" for me. If I miss a day I really do miss it. I really want to encourage anyone who wants to change their body for the better to try jumping rope. I do it at home in my living room while listening to upbeat music and the time flies! I am up to an hour a day 7 days a week and really have to say that after 3 kids and 35 years I am in better shape than I have ever been in my life. Jumping rope does your arms and legs at the same time. To start I would do only as long as you can and alter your speed periodically. I am planning on running a marathon before I am 40 and want to be in fairly good shape before I start training for that. If anyone has done it I would love to hear what program you used. I found one that gets you ready in 12 weeks. Way to go to anyone who is starting a program to get healthy! It really will improve more than just your body! God Bless, Katie

I only go for walks after a night shift. The routine is: I get home around 7.30am, have a coffee and read my e-mail. Then I take Tessa out for a walk for 45 minutes, so she can read her pee-mail.

Cheers

Lene

Guilty, guilty, guilty....
I don't exercise. I should but I don't. Isn't having a house with many stairs, and 3 children including a 3 year old, enough? Obviously not as I have put on an extra 15 that I'd love to drop....

I could watch Denise Austin at 7:30 after the Big Kids get on the bus....and on the nice days, I could walk with Luke.

I'll make it a goal to try to do that 4 times/week.

Exercise

This guy is actually doing more then i do..
I had to stop exercising due to injuries to my lower back and neck, so the main thing i do is try to walk some. Guess you can consider that exercise. Now i am at the point where i need to gain some weight, i lost too much, due to stress..etc..
Hugs, melinda
