My kids usually after homework play outside to release some energy......if the weather is poor or too cold they like to play with toys they own or get a board game or game of cards going. Also going to dance class or martial arts training is a release for them

My son usually gets home from football practice/games too late to play much, but when he finishes homework he rides his bike, and plays outside with his dogs.

My son gets about 30 minutes to unwind, usually with the tv, after homework he usually pops on the computer for a bit.

My kids get a little tv or computer time and a snack after school before starting homework or chores.

my older gd will get on the computer as soon as she gets in the house-if she can. the younger one finds a snack and will watch Dora or Spongebob. Homework usually has to be completed before dinner and the computer is shut down at 7pm(for gd's). Sometimes they'll go out to play or have some friends over for a bit before dinner.
