I do fell children need a break from school....I can see my gs's aren't enjoying school as much the last 2 weeks...They want out! lol----Our Library starts an excellent program for all school age children. There is even one for 3 year old GD. They will all be attending this program. The oldest boy will be praticing his writing skills. I'm not satisfied with the way children compose their book reports today. Seems to me some of our teachers are wonderful and some need a refresher class.....

Now That my GGS is staying with us I am going to try to get him to do a little bit of work every day, not a lot but just enough so that he wont forget any thing.
Oh Bunny, you will be truly missed by your FC friends God's speed.

Caroline you are so right about kids not interested in the last 2 weeks of school...mine were the same...Kids want to be with their friends...have different activities and just be a kid for the summer...

That sounds like a wonderful program for your grandkids they will enjoy it...

My kids loved their summer vacation...they didn't forget what they learned a week or even a month before...

My youngest 2 (4 and 8) have both come home from school this week with home work to do through the 6 weeks holiday. They have to return it the first week of the new year.

My oldest hasn't any as she is moving school.

We will still go through a few of her maths projects through the holidays as she struggles and we can keep her upto date with it

Take time to recharge your batteries. It's hard to see where you're going when your lights are dim.
