To Trade Candy Wrappers for Free Yogurt Coupons

Naugatuck, CT, October 22, 2008 - YoCrunch, the crunchy yogurt mix-in pioneer, is re-introducing a clever new promotion designed to help parents transition their kids from candy to a more healthy balanced diet with yogurt once the indulgence of Halloween is over.

For up to two weeks following Halloween (which this year falls on Friday, October 31), parents can send any candy wrappers from trick or treating (limit one submission per household) to YoCrunch and be rewarded with a coupon good for any YoCrunch product.

YoCrunch is available in Vanilla topped with Oreo®, Butterfinger®, Reese’s Pieces®, Nestle®Crunch® or M&M’s Chocolate Candies®; Strawberry topped with Nestle® Crunch or 100% natural lowfat granola; and Blueberry, Mixed Berry, Raspberry, Peach and Strawberry Banana topped with 100% natural lowfat granola.

According to dairy industry veteran Kevin O’Rell, “YoCrunch serves as an ideal gateway food to better eating. It has all the health benefits of yogurt with kid-friendly crunchy mix-ins placed conveniently atop the package.”

Consumers interested in participating in the new Halloween promotion can send their children’s candy wrappers to the following address (limit one submission per household):

  • How many wrappers are you allowed to send at one time?
  • That was my question. Does this mean 1 coupon per household or one envelope?

This is cool because my kids love this yogurt.

The funny thing is that they really aren't trading much because the yogurt has candy toppings.
  • I just checked with Shaina and the rule is "one coupon per household." That's no matter how many wrappers you submit.
  • Yeah--my kids would want the candy-topped kind as well!
  • My granddaughter would love that.. she loves yogurt. I like the frozen yogurt.. it tastes like ice cream. I'll have to try the fruity kind. I don't like the plain stuff.
  • I have to remember this one.
  • Thanks for checking into this for us, Barbszy!!
