Question ISO healthy snacks that travel well

Hello there. Just joined so this is my first post.

My DH works on various sites that don't have a microwave. He's trying to watch his weight so I'm looking for snacks that will travel well in his lunch that don't have to be heated. Any ideas??

Some of the healthier dry cereal is better as a snack than with milk. I have just tried Craisins, dried cranberries. I love them. I love my homeade Chex mix with pretzels and nuts. I love tuna and they have tuna salad in a kit, sold in the tuna isle. It is more expensive but this way but it does not require refrigeration. Single serving canned fruit like you would put in a kids lunch box for school.
Hope this helps. I would just walk through the isles at the grocery store and see what sticks out.

you can make your own snack mix with dried fruits like raisins and cranberries or cherries, cereals, pretzels etc.

I always keep crunchy granola bars and peanut butter crackers in my car for quick snacks. I also keep the individual packages of honey roasted peanuts either in the car or in my purse. They also have the individual fruit cups or jello fruit cups or pudding cups that don't need to be refrigerated.

Also a small cooler with an ice pack can help keep other things cold. That is what I do for my dks who take their lunch to school.

Cold cuts wrapped on tortillas, Cubed meats and cheeses with grapes or cherry tomatoes.

Sliced Apples or pears, Muffins, bagels with cream cheese/ peanut butter or jam.

Cold pancakes rolled up with Cooked bacon/ peanut butter/jelly or jams or fruit butters.

Juice bottles.
Just some cold food ideas.
