eating for low blood sugar

I have low blood sugar. With my thyroid acting up I am struggling with eating. Any tips?

I have been following your post here at Family Corner and was curious:

I looked at your profile, you say you are a doctor? What type of doctor and where are you licensed? And what country are you in or if within the USA what state are you licensed to practice in?

I'm pre-diabetic...

First and foremost, I suggest you talk with your physician for your needs.

I'm pre-diabetic...which means sometimes I have low blood sugar levels and/or low iron levels.

It was suggested that I try replacing certain foods with wholesome food, which include lean meats (90/10 works best for me); skinless poultry (we also buy boneless); whole grains (wheat and multi-grain); raw vegetables and fruit, and sometimes I eat frozen fruits and vegetables, or processed fruits and canned vegetables - I read the labels though to know what is in the product, calories, carbs, and especially nutrient value.

I was also told that it would be best if I changed my meal habits. Instead of trying to get two (20 to three (3) meals in, I should try eating three (3) to six (6) meals. that is three (3) to four (4) reasonable size meals, and two (2) to three (3) snacks.

I ALWAYS keep a small piece of chocolate close by, so that if I am unable to eat a meal at the time I feel off, so I have a speedy remedy until I am able to eat a real healthy meal.

Good advice KSIEn6891 for low sugar. Been making smoothies & sherbets with fresh fruit adding ice in the vita mix as a treat.

Also low salt canned soups with vegetables & meat. Add a can of water & puree. Heat the soup and serve.
Great soup with plenty of nutrients on a cold day plus low calorie meal in between lunch or dinner for two people.

Like to buy them on sale bogo and have a variety to choose from.
