Exclamation Dirty Waters, Dangerous Fish~Do You Know Where Your Fish Is From?

This article was sent to me recently by another member. Very disturbing about the growth and processing of fish sent from overseas to our country for eating. This video is on catfish farming and it sure made me more aware of buying USA versus overseas, gross!!!

I've been being alot more careful this year to ask where food is coming from.. we're getting alot of shipments in from CA. which isn't bad but it's picked so early to be shipped here to Ohio that it doesn't taste like fruit when it gets here, hard as a rock and no flavor (peaches, strawberries). I've been asking where fruit comes from and buying from N.C., GA, SC and even Pa. all states closer to us and better tasting.

So now I'll be inspecting even more closely where my fish is coming from, outside the US throw it back.

We don't eat any of the catfish or tilapia after DH saw a program on how they were raised.

I watch for the sales at a local market that gets it's fish from Alaska.
And then sometimes DH goes fishing with his buddies and if the price is right I might buy a salmon from the Indians that have fishing rights on the Columbia River. Right now their price is too high.

We love catfish, perch and salmon mostly but you can be assured I will be checking the packaging more closely to see where it is coming from in the future.

That was just plain ICK!
