chuckle Green Cleaning

I am wanting to be more green with my cleaning supplies. I can make glass cleaner, kitchen and bathroom cleaner, cleaner for the floors.

Vinegar for fabric softener.

What or how to to make dishwasher detergent or soap?

Hand and body soap that is earth friendly is pricey. Make make some?

Shampoo and conditioner..... need to shop around for that.

Connie, Have you ever heard of "Melaluca Products"? They are a Green product.
I use them myself cause I don't care for the chemicals, it's not good for me to breath that stuff when I'm cleaning.

They have a FB page.

I love, love, love it.

I make my own laundry soap, costs next to nothing and works great in the new HE washers too!

Right now I have been buying some of the homemade soap from the Amish, but I want to try it myself and see how it goes. I had always wanted to get goats (still do) and make goat soap and lotion.

Dishwasher detergent =1/2 borax and 1/2 baking soda. Only make enough for a couple of times until you see if it will work for you. Use vinegar in the rinse dispenser. It works well for the two of us. We have always given the dishes a little rinse before putting in the machine so I don't know how it would work on dried food. Sure hope it works for you because it is soooo much cheaper than even store brands here.

Vinegar in the rinse part of the dishwasher does not work with this machine. Crazy isn't it. I will try the borax and baking soda.
