Dog Left In Car In Hot Weather

Please.. never ever leave your dog in a car in hot weather.

Would you do what these girls did? I would. God Bless Them!

What These Girls Saw Inside A Hot Car Is Horrifying. What They Did Is AWESOME.

Yes, I absolutely would do the same. Same goes for leaving a child in a vehicle... I don't, and will never understand it. The only question I play over and over again in my head whenever I read/hear about incidents like this... "what is wrong with people".

Me too MissMoneyPenny

Breaks my heart every time I hear these stories on the news or see it in video's on my dog rescue sites. They showed a reflective car windshield thing that says Don't leave pets in the car, wish they had shown where to order it.. I would definitely use that in my vehicle.

Anna. I've struggled with this one for a long time, and every time I think about it makes my stomach ache.

I remember darting into the corner store for a carton of milk or a package of cigarettes when my kids were babies/toddlers, but aside from a quick dash (in and out type of thing), I always took the kids with me, and never did I do a dash if the car wasn't in plain view the entire time.

As a mom, I know all about absent-mindedness, and how ones initial intentions may be innocent enough, however, it's much too easy to loose track of time, especially with the hectic scheduling many parents are faced with from day to day. It's just not worth it.

I tend to believe a majority of cases involving both children and pets is accidental (truly/honestly accidental), however, I also believe some people were designed to NOT to have pets or children, because they cannot take care of themselves properly, need alone a living thing.

I hope (statistically) the numbers of such happens are on the decline.

There was a video out last year of a woman with a child in the backseat. She was talking on the phone, got out of the car still talking and went into a store. Showed her in the store looking at cosmetics, spraying perfume, talking to people in the store and in the meantime showed the baby getting hotter and hotter, crying till it finally passed out from the heat. Showed people walking by, looking in the car till finally someone stopped, broke out the window and got the baby out, paramedics arriving and the Mom finally coming out of the store to see them working on her baby. It didn't say if the baby made it or not but a very very powerful message as the one I posted here about the dog.

I just wish our local news stations would do coverage every day with these video clips.. while most of the world is hooked to the net, there are still people out there who are not and the news media is the only way to communicate to them.

My opinion regarding society and the direction we are going... I believe we are loosing ground rather than gaining it, and all of the electronic gadgets and devices at our disposal today isn't IMO making for a well-adjusted populous.

I also feel as though we are witnessing a growing trend where a percentage of our population is failing to mature. I see a general lack of responsibility and properness today than ever before.

As I express to others I talk to, we live in a society today where nothing means nothing. Everything is disposable, including life.
