Still hang'n in there

I lost 10# my first 2 weeks, and lost nothing the second 2 weeks. I started walking this morning (2 miles). Will try to do that every day. And keep up the water. I fill 4 water bottles each morning, and park 2 of them next to my computer, where I usually work. The other 2 on the kitchen counter. They're usually all gone by 3:00. (If I drink any later, I can't make it through the night without a trip to the bathroom.) I'm hoping to lose 5 more pounds by Easter.

newbie

I just found this thread and hope to find some inspiration here. I bought Dr. Phils food guide and plan to start it on Monday April 12th. I need to lose about 50 lbs. and keep them off.

Welcome, Ladyiris23. It all starts with losing 1 pound. Then 1 more, and 1 more, 1 more.......

That's how we all gained it

Good luck.

Hi LadyIris! I've had the book and started before but I've jumped off the train and totally blown it recently. My plan is to get back on that train this week so you won't be alone! I have at least 60 pounds to lose. Then I'll re-evaluate and see if I want to lose more.

Thank you for the welcome. That is how I plan on losing it this time one pound at a time. I know fad diets don't work. been there done that way to many times. I also have set a healthy goal weight. Not a super skinny never goinna be able to keep it weight. :p
I am also using the "walk away the pounds" dvd. With springtime in Nebraska our weather can be crazy so this way I still am walking at least 1 mile sometimes 2 miles a day in my living room.

Hello
Been awhile since I have posted here.
Sounds like you are all doing wonderful.
I have only lost 10 lbs.
But it is a start.
THe holidays are the worst.
Chocolate my worst craving is everywhere.
Trying to keep the diet going but it is really hard.

Ladyiris. How do you do the program of walking 2 miles in you living room?
I do have a y membership but have only used it a few times.
I have a hard time excercising by myself in public.
Well - Happy Easter.
I hope everybody can keep the diet going.

Oh, I have several of Leslie's video's and really enjoy doing them.
Luvsbirds, they are a set of walking videos called "Walk Away the Pounds" and it's very simple what they used to call non-impact or low-impact aerobic steps. She has it measured so you are walking 1, 2 or 3 miles. Takes approximately 15 minutes per mile. They are simple to follow - not like Richard Simmons where you get really worn out. LOL!

You can buy them at Wal-Mart, Target, ebay, BJ's, Sam's Club or just go to www.walkawaythepounds.com. They aren't expensive either.

Since we are facing Easter Sunday dinner tomorrow, while I'm not planning to let myself just eat until I'm stuffed, I also am not going to make myself feel deprived so I plan to start back on Dr. Phil's RSP Monday morning. I also need to be sure and increase my exercise some since at my weigh in on Wednesday I hadn't lost anything and my measurements hadn't changed at all in a month!

Ya'll have a wonderful weekend! Exercise and keep your heart healthy!

Hi MartieHawk.
Thanks for the info.
I will have to go and check them out next pay day.
We have lots of space at our house for exercise. So I am sure that it would be something I could do.
Well not much going on.
This dieting thing is for the birds.
I wish I could have a higher metabolism.
Oh well. Age sometimes does that to a person.

Have a wondeful Easter.

What I do with the videos is on Monday, Wed. and Friday I do the 1 mile. Tues and Thurs. the 2 mile and take the weekends off. They are really easy to follow. I don't have the weights that she uses I just do the walking and it has helped.Ihave dropped 1 size in blue jeans in a month just walking not dieting. But, Monday I am still planing on starting Dr. Phill's plan along with my walking.
