You are right about the expense of things has to be
looked at a little different.
Yes, eatting better makes me feel so much better about myself.
I have no doubt that what you say is true.
Just wish it wasnt that way.
Easier to just fix the cheaper stuff.

Well today it is beautiful here too.
I am planning on going for a long walk.
Got a splittin headache. Think some fresh air will do.

Something else I remembered when reading your post...

Dr. Phil says to eat high response high cost foods. Usually meaning that if it takes more effort to prepare, it's going to be healthier as well as the fact you can't just shove it in your mouth and swallow without much chewing. There are LOTS of foods in that category but there are tons in the other category as well.

Well tomorrow is a new day.
New day to turn a new leaf and
start the diet again.
I am weighing at 170 lbs.
Feeling miserable. Hate the feeling of being fat.
Signed up at the ymca today.
Hubby and I are going to start tomorrow.
Wish me luck.
Thanks again for the motivation.
And the reminders.
Want to least tone myself and start feeling better.
Thanks again.
I needed the extra reminder and shove.

Congratulations

Hi Leighann,
Congratulations on the birth of you little babe.
What did you name him?
That is so exciting.
We miss having a little one around here.
Sounds like you are on the right track. I am sure
you will be able to lose the the weight you need to.
Yes, today is my work out day.
I will be going this afternoon.
I am not one who likes to exercise in public.
I am kind of a shy person.
So this is going to be new to me.
Oh well......
Have a great day and have fun with that lil one.

Leighann, CONGRATULATIONS on the birth of Joshua Ryan! My baby weighed 9lbs 3oz (She was #4) My oldest was 9lb 12oz. Enjoy every moment because it goes by SOOOOO fast! You'll lose that weight in no time and if it seems to be too slow, remember that feeding that baby is the most important thing.

Mel, CONGRATS on joining the Y. I've been trying to get out and practice Tennis with my oldest 2 who are taking beginner lessons. They are trying to teach me what they learn each week.

Hi, everybody, I've been checking this thread periodically, looking for some life.

Martie, congratulations on the weight loss!

Luvsbirds, if it's any consolation, I'd be happy to get DOWN to 170.

Lee, I'm glad things are going well with the baby.

My "baby" is 2˝ years old, and I still haven't lost the baby fat. I had an 8# baby, and only lost 5#!! I still can't figure that one out. Well, my weight has been going up since then.

I got serious about 3 weeks ago (when I realized summer is coming and I have no clothes that fit). So I started South Beach--I don't have the book, but found lots of info on the internet.

Eating healthy is expensive, but I figure if it saves me from having to buy a whole new summer wardrobe, I'll still come out ahead.

Good luck to everybody!!

It's been a couple of weeks since anyone posted here. How are ya'll doing on your weight loss plan? Mine has been shot but today is a new day and I'm determined to stick with it. I have about 10 days to meet a challenge goal of 5 pounds or 5 inches for the month of March - our weigh and measure date is April 5-9 so I'm pushing to the very end of that.

One goal is to drink a lot more water daily this week. I've really slacked off on that lately.

Well, gotta run! Have a great week! And get some Exercise!
