The Zone Diet Plan

Is anyone using this plan?

I have been reading a lot about this and it makes a lot of sense to me. Im not one to use pills, mixes or bars to pretend its a meal.( I asked about TrimSpa earlier but I just wanted to know if anyone had tried it. I dont believe that you can truly lose weight and keep it off from taking just a pill. ) I think Im going to try this using their recipes-not supplements or anything and see how it goes. Im going to the library this week so Ill see if they have any books there on this.

Id like to talk to anyone who is using this plan.

Thanks,
Tami

not heard of this plan, what is it? I know most plans you have to eat certain foods, and they are the foods I don't care for, so I am in trouble from the start.

I need to lose about 50 lbs and I have a class reunion coming up and would love to lost the weight before Oct. of course I would just love to lost the weight period.

Dr.Barry Sears conducted scientific research and changes the way we look at food. We used to see food as a number of calories. He has found that what matters even more is the effect of food on insulin production, a hormone vital to the "making fat" or "using fat" process in our bodies. Insulin production is not only linked to obesity, it is also linked to various illnesses. Therefore this diet helps not only lose fat, it also helps become healthier.

I have used his diet respecting it faithfully for about 3 months, and lost an average of 4 pounds a month. Then when I softened the diet, I did not take the weight back. When I say I softened the diet, I mean I found I need more rice than what he advises. It may be due to my low blood pressure, I get tired if I don't get enough of these slow sugars that you find in rice and pasta.

Of all the diets I have ever seen, his makes the most sense !
