You On a Diet / dr oz / seen on oprah
 
I was considering starting this diet with a friend. I am not sure how much of a diet it is , but I was wondering if anyone has tried it. I think it is more lifestyle changing oriented, instead of dieting. I think that would be better for me, because I know I have tried almost everything.

If anyone is interested, I think this would be a good place to have a diet support group on this book. Chime in if you are interested! We all could use support. :gabtab:

I think it is going to be a good one. I still have the episode from Oprah on Tivo. I am going to tape it, and once Chris and I watch it together, I can send it out and you all could pass it along to anyone who would like to view it. Rachel

Chris and I have ordered our books, but I am not sure when they will arrive. So, until then, I am not sure how much posting is going on about the diet. I may watch the Oprah episode again and give you the Reader's Digest version so we all know what it is about. I am excited though, and so are my fat cells... actually, they are shaking! I am not sure if that is because they are scared or if they just wiggle and jiggle! hehe...

I watched the Oprah show and was impressed.

It is a life style change to treat yourself better.

And as Women we always put ourselves last and we should be putting ourselves closer to first so we are able to have a healthier and happier life.

I did buy the book but haven't had an opportunity to look at it yet.

Great Thread Rachel.. I can not wait to get the Book and get started.. I need to loose weight and start living better...
Hope someone has done this already and can give us some insight and pointers...
The Oprah Show was awesome.. It gave you the BAD things to watch out for and the Foods that you should eat that keep you full longer... It's not a diet but it is :) 1 Lady that did it went down from a 14 to a 8 in 4 months. Now that would be neat to go from a 10 to a 6 or 7 in 4 months... Hope it works for us too but we need to hit the Gym again!

I think I just found a good book to buy to use my latest 15% discount from Barnes & Noble. My mom saw the Oprah show and she was at my house when there was a show about the diet on the Discovery Health channel. I recorded it on my DVR, but I haven't watched the whole thing yet. I'll have to try to watch it today and get out to buy the book soon. I need to get things under control soon or I'm going to be in big trouble. I need to either get outside and walk or go down to the basement and get my butt on the treadmill. Good luck to all who are trying to be healthy! I'll check back soon to see if anyone has read the book and tried the diet.

I will be posting in order of the book. You can hang out and listen and or join in -- even if you don't have the book! Any questions, I am happy to answer them.
Also, Mindy, are you talking about this book? Are you ordering You On A Diet? If you are that is great, I can't wait for mine to come in. If not, what book are you talking about?

Can you give me an overview of what this diet/lifestyle is all about?

Is there a website available to check it out? I wonder if I can catch a repeat of the Oprah show.....when did it air?
