SB Diet

I agree with everyone else...I think this diet is great...my husband and I have been on it now for 14 days today... I've lost 9 lbs and he's lost 11. I do day care for 5 toddlers in my home and its hard not to snack all day when you're constantly handing out food to them! We are planning our first dinner out tomorrow night since our diets began. We shall be careful of what we eat...the foods they offer you are good...some better than others.

Hi there - a friend of mine is diabetic and she was advised to go on Phase II and skip Phase I. But perhaps you should check with your doctor first? I think I would do that just to be sure.

I started on Phase I and am now on day 4 of Phase II. I have
hypoglycemia so am still trying to figure out the right balance of
carbs to keep my sugar levels consistent. But I like this way of eating and believe it to be very healthful.

Although Im not diabetic, I am insulin resistant--working to remove that label too. I asked my endocrinologist what his opinion of this diet was and he said that it was a very good diet plan BUT you have to make it a change of lifestyle not just a passing phase. This is also a good plan for anyone having cholesteral troubles. My cholesteral level was 190 when I started this diet and within 2 1/2 weeks, it was down to 170.

I would definitely check with your doctor first but like the poster before me said, I bet you can at least start with phase 2 with no problems.

Lightbulb South Beach diet hint

Hi, I've been on the SB for 3 weeks now. Well, it's a modified one but it is still working for me *S*
Here is a nice change of pace: I made the Cilantro Lime Mayonaisse recipe from phase one & have used it for a "dip" for my steamed asparagus. I think it would also be good as a dip for fresh broccoli or cauliflower.
Hope this helps for a change of pace.

Well Ladies I made the Chicken Zucchini Stew last night and it was fabulous! I had to modify the recipe a little but what I ended up with was delicious. i didn't have enough basil so I substituted Italian Seasoning. I also added mushrooms to mine. This was a definite keeper!

SB Diet

Well, ladies...I'm on to Phase two today. Hubby and I did great on Phase One. Looking forward to the recipes of Phase 2. We've each lost pounds and were quite happy with it. We also went out to dinner last night and Friday night. We watched what we ate and did good So here's to the next two weeks!

I am also moving onto Phase 2 starting tromorrow. I am looking forward to a piece of fruit! I bought some apples and I also bought some whole wheat Pita bread and also some whole grain bread. I have also planned to add my carbs at breakfast and lunch and stay low carb the rest of the day. I know my weakness and I think that will be safest for me! Good Luck everyone!
