My husband hates for the furniture to be moved. He just doesn't like changes.

I love to change *everything* around a few times a year. I like to move some of the living room, family room and dinning room furniture to different rooms depending on the season. It drives him crazy!

We finally compromised. I leave his chair, his desk, and the bed alone. He says these are his "ports in the storm" that allow him to feel comfortable while everything else is changing.
I also have learned that he handles the changes better if they are done while he is gone.

The only green is in the plants and the burgandy is in the upstairs bathroom. These are 2 colors that he just can't stand so I make sure they are not in his favorite rooms.

I once suggested green patio furniture and he said he would move if I got it. He was serious! So I decorated in whites and blues and don't miss the grean at all.

Try doing the wallpaper when he is out and let him get use to it in his own time. Sounds like he likes the finished project, but may not be comfortable while the decorating is "in progress".

Love & Prayers,
Linda

Looking back at our disagreements over decorating through the years.... I should have looked at my inlaws. That would explain why dh is so strange about decorating! He was acting just like his dad! Thankfully dh has decided to grow a little. Last time we rearranged the living room it was his idea!
