Painting bricks or stones on sidewalk

Has anybody tried this? I've seen this several places, some look much better than others, so I was hoping for some tips! Dawny

Dawny,
I painted our patio concrete and front porches, steps etc. at different times through the years. Some jobs were better than others. I found out the secret is the type of paint you buy. You have to get the paint that is actually made for concrete, cement. It is usually called something like floor paint. I suggest you go to a place like Sherwin Williams and ask them what kind they have and price the different ones. You don't have to buy it there if you find a better price somewhere else.
I hope I have helped.
Kat

Thanks Katnhat. I'm kind of intimidated by the project, but have seen some that look so fabulous, Im considering a small project to test it out! Knowing that the paint makes a lot of difference will be very helpful. Dawny

Dawny,
I am so glad I could help. I know it does seem like a huge project. I say go for it girl. You should love the end result. I chose a beautiful green. Sherwin Williams had named the color Park Bench Green. I loved that job. It was definitely the best one. You can also get a beautiful med. gray. If you know artsy colors it would be blue gray. :-) I had friends wanting me to paint theirs too. lol
