I thought posting a picture might help. I think the color came out looking more "orangey" than it does IRL but you get the idea of the fixtures.

I can't stand pink, but the next time Inpaint my bathroom it will either be a very lite pink or dover white. Sherwinn Williams told me their best seller is Dover White. It actually brightened our living room.

After living in several newly built homes (we have relocated several times in the past ten years!) which are always white or neutral, I crave color now. I painted our powder room, which is quite small a deep, vibrant red. I was VERY nervous about doing this and was afraid it was going make it look even smaller. That was not the case at all. I LOVE IT! We put in an old-fashioned black and white tile floor and chrome fixtures. Our main bathroom is lavender and green, and I'm getting ready to paint our basement bathroom blue and green. It sounds odd, but the picture I got from the paint store looks really nice.

Barb, I think maybe a light, pastel-type green might look pretty with the mauve fixtures.

Our bathroom is a anquite white. A light tan almost. I really like it. I think that would look nice with your pink fixtures.

The fixtures aren't all that bad in colour to me, I'm a fairly neutral person I'd go for plain colour walls, shade of white, and a multi coloured curtain topper with toning colours, keeping the white full window cover and toning towels and mat.
This can be done to incorporate colours from your other rooms that run into or out of the bathroom.

The re-do is well under way. I picked a color yesterday and they got it started. Trim work is still left to do and I will have to get accessories like towel bar.

The color came out lighter on the walls than I expected but it is still nice. For a while I was thinking that we would have to get rid of the tan-colored towels we had in there, but they look very good with this blue. I was leaning toward a green but ended up with a blue. Also there is a straw basket with some hair things in it and that color looks nice with it also. I will have to take a pic when it's all prettied up. They all worked HARD yesterday on this.
