Lightbulb Christmas crafts

Hi Everyone,

Well Christmas is fast approaching and I will be starting to make Christmas crafts with my daycare kids. Anyone else have any ideas to share. I would love to hear them and I will share mine as we make them.

Hugs
Debbie

Christmas Nail

youll need

Nail

ribbon

red paint

colored and plain paper and you can use decorative scissors

Ok dip the nail in red paint, let dry,
print out the saying, glue to colored paper and cut with scissors, punch a hole in it slip ribbon through and tie to nail

This is the Christmas Nailâ„¢. It is to be hung on a sturdy branch, a branch near the trunk, a branch that will hold such a spike without being noticed by well-wishers dropping by to admire one's tinseled tree. The nail is know only to the home that hangs it. Understood only by the heart that knows its significance. It is hung with the thought: The Christmas tree but foreshadows the Christ tree which only He could decorate for us, with nails such as this.

Hey Deb I got my car and I made over 900 posts:)

Manger Nail

follow the same instruction except dont paint a silver nail

The poem:

Those are the Manger Nails,
far more than Bible tales,
they speak of a promise fulfulled.
Nine of the prophecies say,
a King one day would lay,
asleep in a manger bed.
Built with nails such as these,
for the Master of the Seas,
who would walk where fish only swim.
So, each Christmas I try,
to hang these nails high,
where all can see them plain.
And I read what was told,
as each nail I do hold,
before placing it upon a branch.
For His bed I recall is no longer a stall,
but in fact is the center of my heart.

The kids make these for gifts for their parents. It is a simple version of the popular light bulb crafts. Paint a light bulb flesh color. Make a hat out of felt. We used painted wood shapes for the ears.

Hugs
Debbie

PS...please remember that most of the pics were done by kids in the 5year age group.

paper stocking

You need to cut 2 stocking patterns from a brown paper bag. Put stuffing in the middle and then glue along all sides. Decorate the front with fabric and glitter. We use a wash of white glue and water to make it shiny.

Hugs
Debbie
