TEDDY BEAR PICNIC DAY

Today all the kids came with a teddy and blanket and wore their pj's for the day. Our craft was a paper teddy bear mask so we could all go on the picnic.

The weather did not co operate so we had it indoors, just as much fun and used our blankets to build a fort. I made peanut butter and honey sndwiches(no allergies) shaped like teddies.just use a cookie cutter. For snacks we had teddy grahams, bear paws and gummy teddies. I slipped some sliced fruit in there to make it healthy and cheese.

We sang songs like
going on a bear hunt, teddy bear teddy bear

We read some Courdoroy books.

We watched the video
The teddy bear picnic

It was a great day!!

PAPER AIRPLANE DAY

on this day we all studied the art of making paper airplanes. I used patterened paper and then we had flying contests.

We talked about what a pilot does and all the different airplanes there are.

For craft we used letter sheets with small and big P's to practice our letters. We also colored some pics of airplanes.

Everyone took their airplanes home with them with some patterns to make more at home.

READ A BOOK DAY

Today everyone brought a book from home to share with everyone during circle time.

We used puppets to tell some of the stories and make new ones

For craft I gave them some magazine cut outs and blank paper and they made their own books.
