Let's try the one with blemishes!

This pic will show one of the several tears I had in the quilt. I hope the size will not over power again!!

Ahhh.....YES!!! I did it!

Thanks bar_bar....great instructions!! Enjoy the pics. I did get the quilt washed in the tub as Jenna suggested. It went very well. It is currently drying and seems to have held up quite well.

Thank to all who shared such helpful hints. I have taken note of every one adn their comments for the next time I find such a need!

Blessings,
Lynette

I think BIG is great! I get to see more of your beautiful quilt! I really like it! I love the quilts from the 20's-40's, so this one is right up my alley!

So glad the washing turned out well!

I just tried to send you a PM, but you mailbox is full, hon!

It told me that, too, but I keep checking every so often and there shouldn't be stuff. Will try again! Don't give up on me!!

After mending the little problems...I took my Grandmother's old quilt and, had it dry cleaned. It came out beautiful....and, didn't go through the harsh treatment of the washer and, dryer. I was most satisfied. Maybe this will help you.;-)

Thank you for sharing!

Our friend does an excellent job on antique tapestries, etc. I feel I would be able to trust him.

It was rather a tidious chore to wash the quilt in the tub but all seemed to work out well.

It does look brighter! You saw the pic of the blemish, right? Those were difficult to do and I will not be using this quilt, simply displaying it. As I repaired, it seemed weaken. That was before washing. But it is all done and hangs nicely on my quilt rack.

Thank you for brining an encouraging word of drycleaners....there are some really good ones out there.

Blessings!
