pump dispenser lids for mason jars

i recently went into a consignment craft store and saw mason jars that had aluminum lids with soap or lotion dispenser pumps in the middle of the lids. i have searched on line to find where you can purchase these lids. does anyone know where to buy them.

thanks
carol

I would be interested in finding some of these too. I make my own handmade lotion and that would be a great way to sell it in a more unique jar like that. If I come across some I'll let you know too.

Good try, Indigo...but I didn't see anything with pumps that would work on canning jars.

Lightbulb hi - quick thought

hello to everyone.

i too am curious about these pumps for the mason jars.
so i did a little searching and came up empty handed so far.

then i got to wondering-maybe these mason jar pumps arent something u can buy premade-maybe you have to buy the pumps separate and assemble them yourselves to the mason jar lid???

just a thought-did anyone look at these closely to see how they were made??

i am sure someone here can figure this out-there are soooo many bright and inventive minds here-i am sure one of us can come up with a way to make these or eventually find a wholesale seller.

maybe we can start by trying to find someone who sells these and ask or try to figure it out by looking at the pic.

hope this get some creative minds gears a going.

sincerely-sheila ann anderson

PumpDispensers

I doubt very seriously if you will find any site that specifically states, or even manufactures, pump dispensers for "canning jars". From what I have learned there are many places who would love to have a huge order placed so they could make money off of a new client, however most of their products are governed by wholesale demand. That means there are no specifically designed products for canning jars per se. And it seems there are many different dimensions to be considered when shopping for such items, not just the diameter. It seems logical to me that wherever this merchandise was seen for sale, the marketer probably requested a special order from some manufacturer.

Canning Jar Lids

One site I researched had quite a lot of information about what was required in order to fit a jar. I think that would be the most time consuming part. This site has some lids that might be satisfactory however: http://www.dispenserworld.com/; http://www.dispenserworld.com/pumps.html
"Stationary nozzle enable precise dispensing of a wide variety of product viscosities. Kit includes pump with 38 mm, 89 mm, 110 mm, 110 mm snap cap and 160 mm snap cap."; and
"The wide mouth design is ideal for chunky products: salsa, relish, tartar sauce, dressing, etc. Kit includes pump with 38 mm, 89 mm, 110 mm, 110 mm snap cap and 160 mm snap cap."
For one thing, they show a can of Nacho Cheese sauce with a dispenser lid snapped on top, so maybe they have other things that would work.
