For those who crochet, while I don't have a pattern I did see a purse (commercially made) made yesterday that I said "Hey I can do that".

It was horizontal striped different colors.

My idea 2 or 3 stripes of each color for a front and back. I mean crochet one piece then crochet another exactly the same. Repeat with different colors and then slip stitch the whole thing together. Crochet a long shoulder strap or two straps for a shorter one one color of each of the body.

It looked like it might be a fun project and I would use Bernat's new Cotton Candy cotton yarn, they have some really great bright cheerful colors.

I have a bag similar to the top one (mine is called a Hobo bag), and I love it! Easy to get into, comfortable to carry, yards of room, and trendy!
