can containers

I used pull tab cans...like the small fruit cans

open from the bottom with one of those can openers that don't cut the edge
wash & rinse I put what ever chocolates, treats, hot glued the bottom back on
then put scrapbook paper or anything to decorate the outside printed out a label that says in case of emergency 1. pop lid 2.eat chocolates 3. call me

everyone I gave them too asked How did you get the candy in there?

think I might make for christmas gifts for teachers...just have to come up with something clever to do with them

back to the tp rolls.
I have been experimenting with them. I stapled the ends closed and am gluing scrapbook paper on them. I've used scraps of scrapbook paper for trim also.

Before being put in the hospital...I did the same thing, only covered with Christmas wrapping paper...I had planned on filling with filler paper and candy...using wire on the sides to form a hanger...of course that was all before I ended up here...good news is I maybe sprung by Monday...with more testing done more or less as an outside patient...they still have no answers...

I know that it's Christmastime but I'm livid .... my dh threw away the bag FULL of tp rolls that I was saving!!!

There were probably 50 in the bag. He was ranting about "stuff" being piled up in our living room/dining room (no duh, we were decorating) and he was picking up trash, newspapers...etc to throw away and I was irritated with him and just yelled to throw the "dam*" stuff away. Well, he says that he thought that I was giving him the green light to throw that bagful way, too.

Guess I'll try saving them for Valentine's Day. He will need help if he throws the new bag away.

ajrsmom: Oh I'd be so mad...I usually keep them around to use esp. for diaper cakes..

Coll: I made frosty the snowman top hats with my paper towel rolls
painted them black cut a circle out from a cereal box...some thin ribbon and found tiny red pompoms for holly berries and used them as ornaments on the tree...

Also you can tuck candies into them and wrap the ends like a giant hard candy/tootsie roll...

Elijah (age 3) bless his little heart, knows I save tp rolls. He went into the upstairs bathroom, took a new roll of tp and took all the tp off the roll and brought me the tube. He said look Doll Doll, I got you a tube. After he told me what he had done, the toilet had to be plunged. He was flushing the tp. Gotta love him.
