1 inch pearl beads!?

Hi. I don't know if anyone can help me. I have been looking for monthes for 1inch pearl type beads that can be used for angel heads in crafts. The only one I have been able to find are smaller. I have looked in craft stores and did an internet search as well, with no luck. Does anyone kbnow of a source for these? There are a lot of angel crafts that I would like to do that calls for these beads. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hi Sten:

Just saw your post today, I too had a hard time finding 25mm beads for the heads of my angels. Since I do alot of beading, and jewelry making, I get alot of catalogs.

I just received a Beadwarehouse 2002 Catalog on Tuesday, and they have pearl beads that are 24mm. They were $3.75 for a package of 2, I thought that was alot. even if they are Cultured lol. $1.88 each
www.beadwarehouse.com

Boleks Craft Supplies has simulated pearls 22mm at a price of $12.00 for 16, comes out to .75 cents each.

I hope I was of some help, If I see anymore bargains I'll let you know.

Take care for now

Lightbulb pearl beads

hello.

just a quick thought.
with the prices being kind of high per bead head.
could you substitute?
what i was thinking is maybe buying wood beads and painting with pearlescent white craft paint.
hope this might help and save $$$$.

or could you make your own with sculpey clay??

Hey Sheila,

What a great idea with the sculpey, I tried painting the wood beads once too, but my results were not great, I couldn't find the right paint. That was about 7 years ago, and the paints have improved, maybe I should try again.

Thanks for sharing that was great.
Have a great day

We have a wonderful bead shop called Friendze. I don't know if they have a web site or not. But I do know their prices are pretty good and I believe I saw that size in there yesterday. I will look and see if I have their number.

Okay guess what. The Friendze store does have a website. www.friendze.com
but I didn't find it very helpful. So I'm listing the phone number of my local store. They are very friendly and helpful. I hope this helps.
