Clay Pot Birdfeeder

Clay Pot Birdfeeder

Materials Needed:
2-inch clay pot
14-inch clay pot
16-inch clay pot
18-20-inch diameter clay saucer
Liquid Nails, silicone adhesive
or heavy duty outdoor glue
caulk gun Acrylic paints
brushes (optional)
glue (optional)
Clear satin polyurethane or acrylic sealer

If you are painting your birdbath, you may wish to glue the pots together AFTER they are painted.

There are lots of ways to decorate your birdbath. Using a foam brush, sponges, stencils or stampers, you can make the birdbath very decorative. You can glue shells onto the birdbath, then apply grout between the shells. Mosaic tiles or stones could also be used.

When all is dry, cover the painted and grouted surfaces with several layers of acrylic sealer. You can buy this in spray cans or brush it on from a can.

They are so much nicer painted up.
I have seen bird baths done with the main stand of 2 big pots and the bottoms touching in the middle (like an hour glass) and the top the same as above.
It's been a long time since I painted any terracotta pots I stayed mostly with the small ones.
