Sewing Machine Attachments

Does anyone know anything about the ruffler attachments for sewing machines? I inherited one from my Gma six years ago, but don't have any idea how to use it. I am afraid to "play" with it b/c I don't want to break it.

Sewing machine ruffler

I also inherited a sewing machine ruffler attachment. Mine attaches to the machine like a presser foot. I did have to take it to the Singer store and get it adjusted. I haven't used in awhile but when my daughter was small, it came in very handy for dresses. Patti, mother to 3

Nowadays I get a good bit of instruction from YouTube! I haven't used my ruffles for years. You could try it on tissue or other soft paper maybe?

I never figured mine out. I need to play around with it. No sense having all the fun toys if I don't know how to use them.

Ellen, I love youtube for help.
