Use those Wiggley eyes and Pom-Poms

NOTE: These crafts will be placed in the appropriate subjected thread in a few weeks

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pom-Pom Critters #1
Large pompoms
Oaktag or contruction paper
Wiggly eyes
Glue
Cut a heart shape form the oaktag or construction paper. These will be the feet of your pompom critter. Glue pompom onto feet. Glue wiggly eyes onto pompom.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

Pom-Pom Turkey

brown pom-pom
wiggley eyes
yellow paper
red paper
black paper

Cut a heart out of yellow paper and use for the feet. Place the brown pom pom on the feet. Glue wiggley eyes on and then make a small yellow beak and place it between and under the eyes. Add a red gaggle thingy under the beak. (you know that turkeys have those ) For the tail end, Cut a circle out of yellow large enough so that it will be 2x larger then the pompom. Zigzag the edges. Then cut a black circle a bit smaller then the yellow and center on it. Another circle of yellow, still smaller and then center and lastly a red one, smaller and centered. Glue to the back side of the turkey.

This was an idea from oriental trading that I saw. Here is a picture of the turkey

Pom-Pom Critters #2

From one pom-pom pattern you can make all sorts of animals.

2 pieces or cardboard at least 8-inch square.
Compass
1 ball of 8-ounce wool
1Pencil
Scraps of felt
Scissors
Fabric glue
Pipe cleaners
Sequins
Shirring elastic

1. Using the compass draw a circle, 8 inches in diameter, on both pieces of cardboard. Cut out both circles with the scissors. In the center of each circle, make another circle, 2 inches in diameter, cut these circles out. Put one piece of cardboard on top of the other. Tie the circles to together and wind the wool round and round through the hole in the middle until all the cardboard is thickly colored. Carefully cut around the edge of the cardboard pattern with the scissors, keeping one blade between the two pieces of cardboard. Pull the pieces apart slightly. Tie a piece of wool very tightly around the center of the ball. Remove the cardboard and fluff out the woolen ball, a pom-pom.

CHICKENS:

Make two yellow pom-poms, one slightly larger than the other.
Cut a diamond shaped yellow piece from felt and fold it in half. Stick it in place for a beak for your chickee. Make two yellow legs from pipe cleaners by twisting them around each other and through the center of the larger pom-pom to hold them in place. Stick on two black sequins for eyes. Firmly tie the head to the body If you want to hang you Easter chick, attach a piece of shirring elastic from your sewing box.

SPIDERS:

Paste on eyes, make a small felt mouth. Attach pipe cleaner legs bent into leg shapes.

Caterpillar make balls of different colors and firmly lie one on to the other, glue on two eyes, and make short antennas with pipe cleaners and attach two small pom-poms at the end of their antennas.

Clothespin Reindeer Ornaments

3large wooden clothespins (not the clip ones)
brown and black paint
green felt
2 small wiggley eyes
4 small 1/4" red poms poms
1 medium 1/2" white pom pom
1 foot of red or green ribbon
glue

First paint the clothes pins brown and the tips are paint black, for the hooves. After they are dried glue two together and the their one is glued point up to make the head and antlers. After they are glued and dried, glue on the eyes and one small pom pom for the red nose. From the green felt cut two holly shaped leaves and glue them on the antlers above the face. Glue 3 red pom poms on for the holly berries. A larger white pom pom can be glued for the tail. When the ornament is throughly dried, tie a ribbon around the middle and hang on your tree.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Puffy Sheep
2 inch white Pom-pom
3/4 inch white Pom-pom
1/2 inch black Pom-pom (or pink for a white sheep)
2 black seed Beads
Black felt scraps for ears (or white for a white sheep)
Black pipe cleaner (or white for a white sheep)
1/4 inch red Ribbon
1 small Bell
Glue 3/4" white pom-pom (head) to 2" white pom-pom (body). Cut two 2" sections of black pipe cleaner. Bend into a letter U. These are the legs. Glue center of U into the center of the 2" pom-pom. One towards the head and the other towards the tail. Glue 1/2" black pom-pom (nose) onto front of head. Cut small leaf shaped ears from black felt and glue on sides of head. Glue black seed beads for eyes. Tie red ribbon around neck and attach bell to ribbon at the throat area.
Pom Pom Flowers
craft stick or lollipop stick
pom poms
colored paper
Cut a flower shape from colored paper (for example a sunflower shape from yellow). Glue a pompom to the center. Glue the stick to the back and cut a few green leave and wrap then tape or glue to the stick.
If you'd like put some faces on the flower too!.
Make a bouquet and place them in a pot or vase.
~~~~~~~~

Instead of placing the stick on the back (of leave it there), make a magnet by gluing one to the back.

A Crafting Note for these items above

Instead of using paper, use the colored foam sheets.
