Thanks Tami

These are fun to work with, all the pretty spring flowers that are out there now. A friend suggested I paint her hat red and put purple flowers on it for the Red Hat Society. Lots of good ideas to spin off that one.

Anna,
Very cute! I would put a couple of the "Red Hat Society" at your mall! I bet they would sell!

Thanks. Yes, I can't wait till this weekend.. temps are supposed to be in the 70's so I can go outside and spray paint some hats for these. I think they'll do well there too ( our mall). Most of the customers in there Sat. when we went down were older folks.

I am not crafty at all and thus too dumb to make these but Anna how much would you want for a couple of the purple hat ones?

Unfortunately I don't have a pattern for these... I found one of these at a thrift store and kind of eyeballed what they had done. Basically you buy a flower pot, get a straw hat that will fit the size of the bottom of the pot, buy plain windchimes I bought mine at The Dollar Tree. I bought a stem of silk flowers and pulled the flowers off. Using a glue gun I glued the flowers on, punched a hole through the top of the hat, using jute string I tied the string of the windchimes to the jute string, threaded it through the hole of the pot, then the hat, pushed it sideways for a minute, glued the hat to to the pot and pushed it down firmly. Then I glued the jute string, dotted with the glue, tied again, dotted with glue, tied a ribbon string dotted with glue, tied again and dotted again with the glue. Then sit it aside overnight to let it dry. Dh drew the faces on the flower pots... I have many craft talents but drawing is not one of them, LOL!

I will pm you with pricing on the Red Hat Society type after I make them and see how they turn out. Now another lady wants me to try making them with flowered skirts. Alot of fun possibilities with these.
