Name for Candle Business

I am going to be making candles here in the near future. I will not sell them right away as I know there is alot to do before hand. But I am trying to think of a very neat name for my candle business. Something that I can't seem to come up with on my own. Do you wonderful people have any ideas? Thanks so much for your ideas.

Hugs Lisa

That's a tough one... sorry it took so long for me to respond, just now saw this posts.

I guess the first thing I would do is play around with some names and check the internet to see if they pop up. You for sure don't want to get into copyright infringements. If you are doing this as a business you will also want to check with your local business to make sure no one has it registered already and if not, then I would apply... I think in Ohio it's around $100.00 for that type permit.

We make and sell candles along with a variety of other products, so we have it all listed under our business name. For example:

Smith Farm Crafts

That covers all areas of your business.

Hope this helps.

Yes. On the internet Walton Feed Company has a wonderful section called Old Timers that shows step by step instructions on making soaps. I belong to a group called Ohio Soapers on YahooGroups that is fantastic (we also welcome soapers from other states).

You might also look in our Soapmaking section here at FC as I believe I have posted some links on there as well.

Lotions: I use a basic lotion concentrate and add a few extra ingredients for my "secret recipe", you can get concentrate at most craft stores although I would steer away from places like Michaels and JoAnn's as they are way overpriced.

No problem... did you find the links o.k.? If you need more just let me know and I'll post any others. I do a huge amount of my shopping on the internet for ingredients. Bittercreek Candle Supply has a awesome line of fragrances and most are both safe for candles and skin.
