Well, I guess I forgot to take a picture of the last skirt too. I helped a Girl Scout troop cut out and sew Drindle dresses for their International Festival that was held on May 6th. They were representing Germany.
Then last week I made 3 pairs of Black Cotton pants for my youngest daughter for work as all she had was polyester pants and she was complaining that they were too hot and was sweating too much. I used It's So Easy pattern # A1494. They ended up too long and I had to cut them off and re-hem them.

I went to ARC Thrift store today and bought 15 pieces of material. So, I plan on sewing some clothes this summer. Keeping busy here. LOL!

I found an idea for make up remover pads that you rinse out after use and reuse so that you're not always buying/throwing away a cotton ball or other.
I used 3 layers of soft flannelette, size about 8cm X 8cm and I just did a really close zig zag to seal the edges as my over locker is in for servicing and I wanted them NOW! lol

I've also done a few repairs in clothes, some fiddly hand sewing projects, threaded some hat elastic through the neckline of a t-shirt as the neck was going out of shape and now it's keeping it's shape.

It's been a long time since I made pants Vicky though I don't mind making them with elastic waists, a zip and fly always trips me up!

Sounds like you have been busy. I've made 6 Scrubbies out of Tulle. Made a Corner 2 Corner Afghan made in white and rainbow colors. I helped my mom tie a quilt last Thursday. I sewed a baby receiving blanket today. And I'm looking for some patterns for a baby. I need to make some stuff for my daughter as she is due to have her baby Christmas eve.

For the blanket: I used 1 yard of flannel material and roll hemmed the edges a quarter of an inch and that's all there is to it. It ends up being about 45" x 36". A lot bigger than you can buy in the stores.
I may get a picture of it later.

A friend of mine just gave me a box of old sewing patterns, knitting patterns, x stitch and other. Wow the fashions of some were old as the prices were in pennies and pence and we've had metric $ and C since 1966! I don't want them but they were fun to look at, not sure what I'm going to do with them now.

Kathy, what a wonderful idea! I bet that lady & others in her group will enjoy them alot!. I started to learn to knit when I was about 23 yrs old so I forget how to do it now.. once I learned to crochet, I preferred it to knitting.

Yeah Minny I'm more of a crochet person myself, my nana taught me, she knitted and crochetted and in some weird way they merged in her hand movements and you had to check how many needles/hooks she had to know which she was doing.
There is even wool in the box to get them something made, I know they do teddies for the kids that need comfort in the ambulance when hurt and in transit

Kathy, I bet they will really appreciated all you donated to them.

I been busy here. I made 1 granddaughter a wrap around skirt and the other one a gathered Drindle skirt with a pocket in the side.
I made a couple more baby receiving blankets this week as my daughter is now having twin boys. The original due date was Christmas Eve. But, now it maybe sooner. They are shooting for them to at least be 34 weeks before being born and she is already 24 weeks along.

I've been cutting out new born baby sleepers. The pattern is from

Baby and Preemie patterns

There is a link to download the pattern too.
