i got some great deals at cvs today.
i got 2 soft soap body washes, 5 deoderents, and 2 dentyne gums for 4.63!!! the soft soap was buy 1 get [email protected] then i had a coupon for 2 off..that made my total for 2 softsoap, $2.00.
the deodernts were on sale for .99 and i had 4 $1 off coupons, plus a .75 cent coupon. that became 5 full size deodernts for a total of .25. the gum was buy 1 get 1 @ .79 so i got 2 for a total of .79. plus i also got 2 packs of cards from finding nemo for the girls for .50 cents each. that was $1. total with tax 4.62.

total saved with coupons and sales...$13.29. i saved roughly 75% off my total bill. so im happy.

hope you all are having a good day too.

I save $100 or more each week by REDEEMING coupons, can't save if they aren't redeemed, grins. I also save about $200 a month by buying and stocking up on grocery sales.

I only keep the coupons I might use and pass along the others. I've started a coupon box at church in June so file any I wont use in that box and take out what I know I will use.

I will walk the isles to see what unadvertised specials that are there to match up with coupons that I have. I generally remember if I have a coupon but it doesn't take much time to flip through them as I have them sorted by catagory in an accordian filing envelope.

I love Krogers new internet coupons that load to the store card as you can also use a manufactures coupon at the register.

I have mine organized by when the expire rather than categories.
Each week I go thru my coupons and take out what I am going to use that shopping trip (Of course combining that with whatever is on sale in the weekly circular.....)

hugs, train

I use my coupons
all the time would be lost without them. I also
check out the little "machine things" for coupons
the stores have. Send all I don't use to Norma
and other online friends

I use coupons for all name-brand items that there are coupons for. Some items simply don't ever have them - lemon juice being one. All my deodorants, toothpaste, toothbrushes, feminine products, razors, dish soap, liquid hand soap, and even some over-the-counter meds: nexium, aspirin (buy at Dollar Tree, the small size), all with coupons, and a lot of them free.

Food buying with coupon had changed as I have to be really careful with salt content, and being diabetic, I have to watch out period. But there are sill coupons for fresh/frozen chicken, frozen veggies, bagged salads, and other good things that I eat.

Don't forget about coupons for oil changes, massages, etc. Just yesterday, I redeemed a coupon for a necklace at a major jewelry store, as a birthday present, just for signing up with them for e-mails. This one is a 3 tiered pearl necklace. In January I got a coupon for $50 off purchase of $50 or more, and ended up with a beautiful sterling silver heart pendant with a real diamond set in a movable setting so that the diamond swings back and forth when I move. I did buy the lifetime warranty on it. I broke the chain earlier last month, and because they couldn't repair the chain, they gave me a new one.

Also, don't forget about coupons for Staples and recycling ink cartridges. I turned in $16 worth last month, and they added an additional $5 coupon (just because). Several times a year they send in the mail a coupon for $10 off a $10 or more purchase. Free envelopes so that the Coupon Swap Club members don't have to include one when the send in coupons that will be re-distributed to other members.

Coupons for Michaels, Joanns, AC Moore, and Hobby Lobby can yield more than craft projects. I end up with books as gifts, ornaments in the season, keyrings, etc.

Coupons for BJ's can be combined with manufacturers coupons for lots of savings.

Fast food coupons stay in the car for those fast trips through the drive-through on a hectic day.

All other coupons that I don't use go to family first (only from the papers that I buy), and then on to Coupon Swap Club members.

All of the expired coupons go to an APO address to be used by military personnel out of the country. They can use them at the commissary up to 6 months after the expiration date. That is my way of supporting them without a great expense - usually about $6 monthly.

Take care all!! Norma

One of the best things do is take all my coupons to the store with me. I use a small photo album that slips in my bag. Having them ALL with me means I can get god prices on items I didn't know were on sale.

I've started using the coupon apps, not all require a smart phone to redeem.
http://www.familycorner.com/forums/f...sing-them.html

I print 80% of my coupons, 10% digital, 10% paper passed on to my sister by a friend. I've signed up to receive emails & FB posts from 3 coupon blogs that alert me to deals at the stores that I shop at. They receive advance notice on the next weeks ads so I'm able to print the coupons now to use next week when the coupon might not still be available.

Like Norma with sales, coupons, cash back deals I don't pay more than 40% of the retail price on personal care & household cleaning products. And most items the savings is even more.

JC Penny & Sears have recently sent me 4 $10 off $10 coupons and I was able to use them to get 9 new underwear for me on clearance a $80 retail price for $6 plus tax and 3 pks of clearance socks (1 me, 2 for dd2) for $3 plus tax.

I sign up for every stores rewards/email program, if nothing else you get a something free coupon on your birthday.

Printer paper is $1 or free after sale & rebate at Staples, get $2 per ink cartridge returned I redeem 5 or more at a time to make sure I'm eligible for the $10 off coupon. With their rewards card I'm earning a little back each quarter.

Good morning all!!

JoAnne, like you I believe in carrying them with me everywhere for all the unadvertised sales or stuff on clearance that they would never advertise.

Last fall it was Uncle Ben's broccoli and cheese rice mixes. After the coupon $1 off 4 pkgs, I paid $.17 each. They were then divided between myself, my sister, my dn and his family and my church's free store.

Birthday gifts - I got a coupon for a free necklace from a jewelry store. I was supposed to get a floating silver heart on a chain, but it was out of stock. The store substituted a beautiful 3 tiered graded pearly pendant with a chain.

Some restaurants require you to sit and eat, but others, like Moe's (Mexican, 1/2 take out, 1/2 sit and eat) will just allow you to pick up the item and go. I usually get a burrito which is enough for 2 meals.

Better go for now.

Take care all!! Norma
