I like your clothes pin idea... wouldn't have thought of that.

I keep 2 pins in there. One to hold coupons and the other to attach my list to the cart (the BACK of the basket as otherwise Luke gets to the list and rips it or eats it or throws it... )

The most important thing to remember, is to never leave home, without your coupon box (or whatever). Times that you do, could be times of 'tears'......

Carol Ann, I'm crying here. Had to take Momma to town and left my coupon box at home.(weeping)(sobbing). There was somethings on sale that I know I had coupons for. (more weeping)(more sobbing)

Emmalee-

I totally understand... I've drove to Meijers which is a bit of a jog from our house, only to get in the parking lot and find I left my envelope with coupons and the box at home. I turned around and drove back home and got it. I know living in the country that is no where feasible for you, so I feel your pain

this week our little store in the next town...(14 miles away..but the closest store) is having a double coupon sale. to get ready for this....here is my strategy...hope it helps some of you. total time used on this adventure..probly about 6 hours or so total.

first off.. im gonna take some time and look at the link anna posted to the new coupons. our store sale goes from wends to tues so i can see if there are any coupons i need to get from there.

then i will cross refrence thoes coupons with what is in our grocery flyer. plus write down the good deals i can get without the coupons too.

i will also check my coupons for old coupons, and write my list on a lg envelope. this way i can keep track of what coupons i plan to use. i can keep the list on the back plus put my coupons in the envie to be certain i use them. the ones i already need to use out..ill slip under the rubber band i keep on the big coupon case for this reason.

ill also check for really good deals on things i can get almost free..or for cheap.

ill let you know how much i spent..and how much i saved. since this will be a stocking up shopping trip..ill allot more money to it,i am trying to get my winter food ready so i dont have to go out as much in the bad weather. this is my normal late summer job, but i think ill do it now while i can get the savings.

have a good day everyone

Erika-

Sounds like you have a real good game plan... grocery shopping is something you really have to have a strategy for or you'll loose tons of money being unprepared.

Coupons

Hi everyone. I cut out coupons, then I forget to use them. I would love to be able to find a way to use the coupons I have and how to cut down my grocery bill. I ususally spend about 80-100 a week for my husband and myself and our dog. (That includes cigarettes for both of us, also.) Any help would be greatly appreciated.
