I have heard of using tin foil as gift wrap. To expensive these days.

I love coming up with ideas for gift wrapping I don't by any means spend much money in fact I love come up with good things cheaply.
The best wrapping paper is kids paintings with some wool or ribbon. Then it went to a brown paper roll and the kids would write stuff and draw pictures. Now the kids are older I get people to collect boxes for me and they get returned with their birthday or Christmas. Last week I gave my niece a decorated box that her dad had collected for me.
The running gag we have with my MIL is a card that goes back and forth but is remade for the occasion. I think i'ts fun and it stretches your brain.

When dd1 was little my sister gave her a card that had a soutern belle on it. The girl had dark hair and eyes like Jenn. My sister said it reminded me so much of her I couldn't resist. The next year, the same card again. And then a third year it came again. We laugh and say that card must have been meant for Jenn.
