Microwaves

Okay, I have had three microwaves in just under two years! I buy a full size counter top with lots of functions I use. I don't buy the cheapest nor the most expensive. Of these three two were GE and the latest is a Panasonic. The two GE I had bought warranties with and the first one was replaced with that warranty. I really liked that one so got another exact one like it and it lasted just till the warranty that I purchased ran out. Third one, I changed brands. I did not buy a warranty with this one after the last one ran out right after it.

What brand of microwave do you have and has it lasted a long time? I am really getting tired of buying microwaves. The thing is we use them a lot every day, from heating coffee instead of letting the pot run all day to defrosting things for meals to actually cooking in it. I like the "sensor" cooking microwaves so it only cooks till the item is done instead of over cooking it.

I have an over-the-stove Magic Chef microwave that came with the house when we bought it. It is over 20 years old now and still works. I think once dh did have to do some type of minor repair on it that he was able to figure out from the manual that I kept. He is usually not very talented in the handyman department so it was not something major.

mine is five years old, and I have bought a Halogen oven to go with it, which I call my magic oven. I am really pleased with it.

The microwave that lasted the longest for us was a SHARP Carousel. I absolutely loved it and was heart broken when it stopped working.

I replaced it with a used one, that I don't much care for but sine I don't use it for much more than cooking veggies, it doesn't matter.

I would have to say buy an EMERSON microwave.
We had one for about 8 (maybe longer) years. It
quit last month. So hubby says might as well stick
with a good thing, so bought another EMERSON.
Ours was $150.00 on sale.

Happy Valenitne's Day!
