Adding with adoption

I am am single parent of 2 and we are adding to our family through adoption of an older child from the foster care system. We will be fostering until the adoption can be finalized. I have a small home and we were sort of tight for space and now we have another person and their stuff!. My new son is 12 years old and will share a room with my 10 year old. We already had bunk beds and I purchased a new dresser to match the bunkbeds and dresser already in the room. I have purchased another red bucket type tub for toys like the one my 10 yo son has and a closet rod to increase the hanging space. I also bought another shoe organizer for the back of the bedroom door to match the one on the inside of the closet door. I also installed an over the door set of hooks for the outside of the closet for coats, back packs, etc. I hope to get a narrow bookcase to squeeze in a little more storage in this compact room.
BOth boys have so many clothes! (throught the generosity of friends and relatives, not me) Realistically- how much of one item do we really need? They will have school uniforms, and they need Sunday clothes as we attend church each week. I am really searching for creative ideas for storage and opinions on how much we can function on.
Happiness is not getting what you want, it's wanting what you've got.
