Stocking gifts

What would you like to find in your stocking?
In actuality - do you get any stocking gifts?
What was your favorite?

Merry Christmas & hope that your stocking is full of love and best wishes for a wonderful new year!

Pippe

Christmas Stockings are my favorite part of Christmas. I try and find the most unique stuff to put in them. I wrap everything and we atart Christmas morning off with our overflowing socks. My dad always puts a gadget of sorts in my stocking with no instructions and I then have to figure out what it is. Some things i love to get are scrapbook items from the dollar store.

Thanks Pippe for starting this thread! As kids we never got anything in the stockings, okay maybe once an orange was stuffed inside and a penny.

So I am at a loss. My friends growing up got school supplies and scoffed at it, but oh how I wished!

Now I put:
Chocolate and gum and candy.
Chapsticks for the lips.
New pairs of socks.
Miniature flashlights.

But I could use more ideas! I finally knit the girls their stockings last year. For years we used old tights or boot socks or whatever my mother sent from Christmas sales. They were so excited Christmas morning to see the knit ones with their names.

Donna everyone at our house gets a stocking overfilled with wrapped goodies. It takes me longest to shop for items for them. This year my boys are getting Ottawa Senators items and the usual candy and body care items. Paige is getting High School Musical items and girly things. My aunts are getting cooking and baking items for entertaining. Mike and his dad hunting and fishing items etc.

I hope a lot of people post here because I could use some new ideas. How funny that chapsticks are a mainstay of the stocking world! Us, too.

I think jewelry and gift cards are nice too. If we go with the nintendo ds then that would be a stocking stuffer. But I don't think I can fit a small tv for the dorm room into the other dd's!
