I have quite a few ornaments and decorations that were also handed down to me. The most special being a felt stocking that my grandma had sewn and my mother decorated when she was about 4-5yrs.old, it was made for my grandpa. She let my mom write his name across the top, and she spelled it "Dady". It is approximately 70-71 yrs. old, but really is well preserved.

Diana that is really cool. I just realized I have the stable from my mom's Nativity scene, it must be pretty old as she would have been 99 if she lived.

I really should hang this up in the middle of the Christmas card display Cau. I have a few ornaments too that were ones that my brothers and sisters made as kids, while in school. Seems like today the school kids don't get to make neat gifts and ornaments like we used to make... Your Mom's Nativity scene sounds neat... Are you going to display it?

Diana yes it is on my garden window in the kitchen. The figures are new too many kids have played with & broken the old ones. It is tradition in our house for the decorations to be played with. Actually my dgd describes some of her friends families as one where you can't play with Christmas

I have a couple of ornaments that were my grandmothers. They're from the 1930's.

We have lots that our kids made, and they are all now between 42 and 51. The funniest one is a toilet paper tube painted black and decorated? up like a Santa, he told us that there is a "black" Santa too, small world huh? We also have some glass balls that we hurried out to buy on our first Christmas together 53 years ago, and we have managed to keep 10 of them out of 24, that's life!

Merry Christmas everyone.
