Happy face

Check with some of the places selling real trees... they sometimes have some branches they trim off & throw away. You can put it under your tree or tie them together & hang near your tree to get the smell of pine.

Good idea Minny I use to do that when we were over at Wharf Row as I had a tree next to the fireplace (never used it) in my Den and put branches on top of mantle looked nice and smelled nice too. Gina had a tree in the LR that is the one where we put all the presents tho'. I just had a tree with certain ornaments on it that were special to me or the boys.

Tradition here is that we all start on the tree on Thanksgiving and from there we work on them 1 at a time...

Minny, Good idea....We usually have a small cut tree in the family room and the artificial tree in the LR.....But family room is being done over and progress has been slow, so maybe by next year we'll have the pine tree in the famiy room.....Gee I hope the family room is finished by then! LOL

YeA! no tree up yet here. Adam watched foot ball here at home and then left to go to his coaching banquet and back home to watch NASCAR and then left again to go some where else with friend Matt to watch the Eagles play. Sooooooo no tree up. I know I am ornery

My mom is German and my dad was stationed over in Germany for three different tours. The first he met my mother. The second and third he brought us kids. We really loved living over there.

Traveling over there was really easy at the time. I imagine since 911 it is alot harder. I still follow many of the Eurpean customs my mother put in place for us.
