Treasure Trot™ Named Game of the Year
Creative Child Magazine gives SimplyFun game top honors in Kids Board Game category

BELLEVUE, WA - (July 23, 2008): Creative Child Magazine has named the SimplyFun™ game Treasure Trot™, the Bella Sara Board Game as the 2008 Game of the Year in the Kids Board Games category. Designed for girls ages 5 and
up, Treasure Trot features the four main characters introduced in the Bella Sara line of horse-themed trading cards, the hit property from Hidden City Games. The game can be played with or without Bella Sara cards, and includes a double-sided game board for simple or advanced play.

“We are thrilled that Treasure Trot was chosen by Creative Child Magazine as the 2008 game of the year,” said Gail DeGiulio, SimplyFun Chief Funster and CEO. “Creative Child mirrors our mission to promote healthy play as essential to raising well-balanced children. Through positive game play, Treasure Trot promotes cooperative play and positive affirmation for girls.”

The game was selected by a panel of over 50 independent testers including mothers and educators, on the basis of product excellence in nurturing creativity and education through creative play. Treasure Trot will be featured in the November 2008 Creative Child magazine. It will also appear in the 2008 Toy Guide on the Creative Child website September 2008.

I know that Alexis would love game. She loves horses so this would thrill her. She's in the perfect age group for it, too. :)

Since Amanda doesn't have a little girl at her house to test this game, she sent it to my daughter to try it out. :)

Alexis loves horses so we were off to a good start to begin with. The game is very easy to set up and you have your choice of either playing the regular version or the more advanced version of the game--but neither side is very complicated and after explaining how the game is played, Alexis caught on right away for playing on both sides of the board.

This game helps to reinforce counting, pattern recognition and matching skills.

The game comes with one horse trading card. You are given an online code to their website for more fun activities but we haven't done that yet.

If you know a little girl who loves horses, I would recommend this game for her. :)
