Thumbs up Baked Chicken with Parmesan and Herbs

Sammi1961 originally posted this recipe in What's for Dinner September 2009

BAKED CHICKEN WITH PARMESAN & HERBS

4 skinless chicken breasts (I used 8 skinless thighs)
1 C. seasoned bread crumbs
2/3 c.
Parmesan cheese
(I use freshly grated parmesan)
1/2 C. butter
1 tsp
Dijon mustard
1 tsp. Worcestershire
1 tsp.
minced garlic

Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, and salt. In a saucepan, melt butter & stir in mustard, Worcestershire and garlic. Remove from heat. Dip chicken in butter, then roll in bread crumb mixture. Place in shallow baking pan. Bake 1 hour or until golden.

Happymomof4 has given a blue ribbon to Sammi1961 for this recipe.

Congrats Sammi. This sounds like something we would like and I will be trying it.

Thank you Charlotte for being a recipe tester and testing this recipe.

I used 5 chicken thighs with the skin on. I didn't use fresh parmesan cheese. I didn't add any salt. I did add a little bit of pepper. I used fresh garlic.

This turned out wonderful. Very easy and quick to put together for dinner. Everyone like it.

I actually have plans to make this this week, however it says "herbs" in the title. There's no herbs in the recipe. *scratching head*

I think the herbs are in the seasoned bread crumbs.

That makes sense. I'm going to use Panko bread crumbs and add in some thyme leaves I think. I have some left from a different dish I made last week.
