Honey Mustard Chicken

This recipe was originally posted in What's for Dinner September 2007 by Bilby:

Honey mustard chicken

8 drumsticks or thigh pieces
4 tablespoons whole grain mustard
4 tablespoons honey
salt and pepper

Preheat oven to 190*C/375*f
Put chicken in a roasting pan in a single layer.
Mix together mustard and honey, salt and pepper. Brush over chicken.
Cook for approx 30 mins or until juices run clear.

I tried this Kathy's (Bilby's) recipe for Honey Mustard chicken and it was awesome. Very easy to make and my whole family loved it. I will definitely be making this recipe again. I used both thighs and drumsticks and doubled the recipe. (I am feeding teenaged boys - need I say more lol) There were no leftovers.

I love a recipe that simple, as when you're in a hurry you can do something nice but seems like it should have taken ages LOL

I'm thinking it would be good for the BBQ as well most pan freid recipes are

Can you do this without the skin on the chicken? Will that dry out or burn the outer layer?

MKS just watch the burn factor of the honey if you do this without the skin, I'm assuming breast fillets, and cut evenly they should cook fairly quickly so shouldn't burn if cooked in a fry pan (not tried this it's only a suggestion and my best guess but you'd get more control of the cooking time and readiness )

BBB
whole grain mustard is a coarse milled mustard, medium in heat, for us it usually comes in a jar and is seed bead size in a sorta saucey stuff.
This is the one I use, is this any help at all?
