Mostaccioli Casserole

seleach originally posted this recipe in What's for Dinner January 2009.

Mostaccioli Casserole
This will make 2 casseroles, one for the freezer.

1 pk (16oz) mostaccioli pasta
1-1/2 lb ground beef
1-1/4 chopped green pepper
1 chopped onion
1 jar (26 oz) spaghetti sauce
1 can (10-3/4 oz) condensed cheddar cheese soup, undiluted
1-1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
3/4 tsp pepper
2 c (8 oz) shredded part-skin mozzarella cheese, divided
Cook pasta according to pkg directions.
In a large skillet cook the beef, green pepper and onion over med heat until meat is no longer pink. Drain. Stir in sauce, soup, seasoning and pepper.
Drain pasta. Add pasta and 1-1/2 c cheese to beef mixture.
Put in 2 greased 11x7 baking dishes. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Cover and freeze 1 casserole up to 3 months. Cover and bake remaining casserole at 350 for 20 min. Uncover, bake another 5-10 min or until bubbly and cheese is melted.

To use the frozen casserole, thaw in the fridge overnight. Remove from fridge 30 min.
before baking. Cover and bake at 350 for 50-60 min or until heated through and cheese is melted.
