Tami's Hamburger Goulash

This recipe was originally posted in Whatís for Dinner October 2007 by ajrsmom
Tamiís Hamburger Goulash
1 1/2 lbs hamburger, browned and drained
1 med. onion, diced small
1 lb of carrots, sliced into match sticks and cooked until tender
1 8oz container of white button mushrooms, chopped into med chunks
4 cups of brown gravy
1 can of cream of celery or cream of mushroom soup --I used cr. of celery
3 TBSP of minced garlic
1 c. of water
cooked egg noodles

Brown and drain Hamburger, reserve for later. In the same skillet, saute onion and mushrooms. Add garlic and continue to cook for 1-2 minutes longer.

Cook Carrots in a seperate pot, drain, then add to skillet with onions and mushrooms. Add hamburger back into skillet.

Stir the can of cream of celery soup into the gravy. Pour the gravy mixture over everything in the skillet and heat until warmed through. If you like a thinner gravy, add some of the cup of water to the mix until it is the consistency that you like.

Serve over egg noodles with crispy garlic bread.

This makes a lot and can easily be cut in half.
