Thumbs up Philly Cheesesteak Casserole

This recipe was originally posted in What’s for Dinner October 2007 byVjumpstart
Philly Cheese Steak Casserole

1 onion, cut in quarters and sliced
1 green pepper sliced and each slice cut in about thirds
1/2 a container (about 4 oz.) mushrooms sliced
1 pound ground beef
1 tablespoon of beef bouillon powder
A1 steak sauce (just put some in, didn't measure)
1 cup water
1 heaping tablespoon flour
1 tube crescent rolls

First saute the onion, pepper, and mushroom in a large skillet. Spread evenly in a 9x13x2 pan. In same skillet brown beef, but DO NOT drain. Add the flour to the beef and "drippings" and mix well (you're trying to make a roux). Add the water, A1, and bouillon powder and stir until thickened. Place on top of veggies. Open crescent rolls and unroll. DO NOT break appart. Pinch together at seams to make one solid sheet. Lay on top of beef and veggies and cook according to crescent roll directions. We had this with curly fries.

Thumbs up This recipe has won a Blue Ribbon

This was easy to make & was quite good. The only thing I did different was I left out the mushrooms, as we don't care for them. I'll be making this again soon.

Thanks for posting the recipe. Thanks Sharon for allowing me to be a tester.
