Cheesy Ham and Noodle Casserole

as posted by DeBora43 in 12/05 WFD:

Cheesy Ham and Noodle Casserole
1 pkg Kraft Deluxe Macaroni and Cheese Dinner
1 (6 oz) can of Dawn Fresh Mushroom Steak Sauce
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 cups diced ham or Spam
1 (12 oz) pkg grated cheddar cheese
1 cup plain bread crumbs
1 cup French fried onions

Cook the macaroni and cheese according to directions. Add the steak sauce, soup, and ham to the cheesy noodles. Stir thoroughly. Mix together the bread crumbs and the French fried onions. In a greased 9 X 9 baking dish, spread half of the ham and noodle mixture. Sprinkle half of the cheese and then half of the bread crumb mixture on top. Then, repeat this process again. Bake in a 350˚ oven until hot and bubbly. Serve.

Connie, you could substitute 6 ounces of brown gravy or any dark or flavorful type gravy if you want. I have never tried it. Let me know if you try something different and how it tastes if you do try it.

I think I'm going to try this with cream of celery soup or chicken gravy

Ok ladies, I tried this with some small chunks of ham & I used cream of celery soup since DH or I either one care for steak sauce. It turned out really good. Thanks so much for posting this one. We will have it more often .
