Coca Cola Cake

COCA COLA CAKE

2 cups unsifted flour
2 cups sugar
2 sticks oleo (butter)
3 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs (beaten)
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 cup Coca-Cola
1-1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows

Sift flour and sugar TOGETHER in a bowl. Heat butter, cocoa, and Coca-Cola to boiling. Pour over flour mixture. Add buttermilk, baking soda, eggs, vanilla and marshmallows. Butter will be thin and marshmallows will float to the top. Pour batter into a well greased 9X13" pan. Bake at 350°F for 30-35 minutes. (Never beat cake with a mixer.)

Coca-Cola Cake Icing

1/2 bup butter
6 Tbsp. Coca-Cola
3 Tbsp. cocoa
1 box confectioners sugar
1 cup chopped nuts

Combine first 3 ingredients, heat to boiling. Pour over sugar. Beat well, add remaining ingredients. (Ice cake while hot.)

I also have a coke cake receipe and it a little different from yours

for it only calles for 1 tsp of vanilla
where your calles for 2 sticks oleo (butter) mine calls for 1/2 cup of crisco and 1/2 cup of butter

the icing is a little different too
for yours it takes

this was a receipe my mom fixed up and submitted to her church and fixed on many occassions. I loved it when she fixed it. yummy

it brought me back to her kitchen and cooking bless her soul.

COCA-COLA CAKE

2 c. plain flour
2 cups sugar
1 cup Coca-Cola
3 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 cup oil
1 stick margarine
1 1/2 cup mini marshmallows
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
3 Tbsp.Coca-Cola
1 stick margarine

In mixer, combine flour and sugar. In saucepan, mix and bring to boil the following: 1 cup coca cola, 3 Tbsp. cocoa, oil and 1 stick margarine. Add to dry ingredients; mix well. Add the marshmallows, eggs, buttermilk, baking soda, and 1 tsp. vanilla.
Beat well and bake in a 9x13 in pan that has been greased and floured; for 40-50 minutes or until tests done.


Icing:

In saucepan, make icing by mixing together the following:
3 Tbsp cocoa
6 Tbsp. Coca-Cola
1stick margarine
Bring to a boil.
Remove from heat; add powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat well and add nuts. Spread over cake.

Thanks for posting the Coca Cola Cake recipie! Looks scrumptious and I can hardly wait to make it...maybe Thursday since dh is working overtime then he can enjoy some that night after work!

You could easily keep the kiddos out if it....its just the adults to worry about!!

That cake is soooo yummy & just calls out your name to come get another piece!!!
