Checkerboard Cake

I just made this cake the other day, was really excited with how it came out! I've never made a checkerboard cake before, and I decided to do pastel colors instead of the standard yellow and chocolate. Wouldn't this be cool in black and white with the top decorated like a soccer ball? Can you tell my daughter is in soccer? LOL Or in red and white and decorate the top like a baseball! FUN

Oh, the recipe is here if you want it

This is the prettiest cake!!

It would look great in black and gold for Steelers football!

How about red, white and blue for the 4th of July!

Where did you get the cake pans/fixtures to make the cake?

Thanks Tami!! Sooooo many possibilities aren't there? Like the cake balls a couple years ago LMAO I bought the pans on Amazon, there's a direct link on my blog post for them or you can just search for them. There's also a link on my blog post to another blog (Megan's) that shows you how to make a checkerboard cake without the special pan
