Sorbert Cake

Cake
1 box SuperMoist White Cake Mix(and ingredients)
2 softened pints of 2 different Sorbets( I used peach and strawberry)
Frosting
1 1/2 cups whipping cream(I used the light)
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoon lime juice

Heat oven to 350 degrees follow directions on cake mix box. Bake for 20 to 30 min. I used a 9x11 cake pan. Cool for 10 min in pan. Remove from pan on to a cooling rack. Cool completely about 1 hour.

Cut cake crossways in half. Put on serving platter. Spread softened sorbert in strips on the cake. Put the top layer of cake on top. Cover lghtly and freeze for about 2 hours to firm.

In large mixing bowl, beat frosting ingredients with electric mixer on high speed until stiff peaks form. Frost sides and top of cake. Freeze for 1 hour or until firm. To serve let stand at room temperature for 10 minutes before cutting.

Happy6 has given this recipe a blue ribbon.

Congrats Charlotte!! My dh is not a cake lover but I think he would like this so I am going to try it.

Thank you Caroline for being a recipe tester and testing this recipe.

This cake is so easy to make, and very good. My grand-kids and family loved it.
I used cherry and lime sorbet. The directions are very easy and I made no substitutes. This would be a nice cake to make for desert for a bbq.
