In need of recipe....theme cake

We are having an Aloha event at my church this weekend and I am looking for a specfic cake recipe that I saw in a magazine a couple years ago... It used blue tinted frosting that was spread on thickly to resemble waves and then I candy to make the fish/sea creatures and what have ya....only problem, I dont remember what it said to use to make the sea creatures and I can't remember how they did the sand (although I imagine crushed cookies would work) Anyone have any ideas?

~~Thanks

Goldfish crackers? Or use fruit leather cut into fish shapes?

This is the first one that came to mind. I found it on Woman's Day.

If you can, post a pic of your cake too!

Hope you have a great time :)

http://jas.familyfun.go.com/recipefi...splay?id=50216 When I read your post, this is the cake that came to mind. We made it a few years ago for a Nemo party. It's really cute. The fish are as suggested in the other posts and the 'rocks' are candy you can buy in the mall at bulk candy stores. HTH.

I was going to post the same one Tami found on Womans Day.:)

The sand is finely crushed graham crackers. I also have the recipe that I got out of magazines years ago. I actually made one when we did the Ocean themed VBS, but didn't have a camera to take pics.

You can try finely crushing vanilla wafers for sand and various gummy sea creatures are out there for purchase.
