Caramel Apple & Pecan Bread

  • 1 1/2 pound loaf (Machine that uses 3 cups flour)

    1 cup water
    2 tbsp margarine, softened
    3 cups bread flour
    1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
    1/2 tsp cinnamon
    1 tsp salt
    2 tsp bread machine yeast
    1/3 cup chopped apple, unpeeled
    1/3 cup pecans, coarsely chopped & toasted

    Measure carefully and place all ingredients except apple and pecans in bread machine in order recommended by your manufacturer. Select Sweet or Basic/White cycle. Use light crust color. Do not use Delay cycle. Add apple and pecans at the beep signal or 5 minutes before the last kneading cycle ends. Remove baked bread from pan and cool on wire rack.
